The preferences of healthcare customers in Europe

Date: 04 december 2003.

The focus of this study is the customer. Does the ‘European’ healthcare customer really exist? There are significant differences between the member states in terms of healthcare supply and demand.

Based on these differences, a number of interesting observations can be made. Two distinct groups of customers will emerge, each with its own preferences. One group will wish to receive treatment close to home. The other will be willing to travel.
