People with an impairment in the Netherlands

Date: 19 januari 2006.

The Minister and Secretary of State for Health, Welfare and Sport put three questions to The Council for Public Health and Health Care (RVZ):

  1. How is ‘AWBZ care’ organised in other countries?
  2. How does the Netherlands perform in this area in comparison with other countries?
  3. How could the organisation and funding of AWBZ care be improved?

The background-reports Long-term care in other countries: lessons for the Netherlands and Informal care: the contribution of family careers and volunteers to long-term care were used in the preparation of this advice.
